Bath Ritual & DIY Bath Tea
The Bath Ritual
Don't underestimate bath-time as a grownup!
Here are a few of my suggestions on how you can make the best of your bath-time:
Light a few candles and/or dim the lights.
Burn your favorite incense.
Play relaxing music or set up your phone to watch your favorite 20-30 minute show (careful around water!).
Run the bath and make it as warm as you like (carefully, not too hot!) and add your bath tea under the running water. Make clean up easier by using a large tea bag or reusable muslin cloth bag to soak your bath tea in the tub (included with your Bath Tea order).
Add flower petals or reusable petals for a romantic effect
Add some bubble bath for extra fun
Soak for 20 minutes
Take a quick shower to rinse off any residue after your bath
Dry off and moisturize the skin with body butter or lotion
DIY Bath Tea Recipe
A basic relaxing blend, best for for itchy, irritated skin that needs some extra TLC. For best results, use with the Oat & Honey Soap
1 Cup Epsom Salt
1 Cup Pink Himalayan Salt
1/2 Cup Colloidal oats
1 Cup of Powdered Milk
1Tbs Chamomile Flowers
1Tbs Lavender Flowers
20 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
Mix Ingredients together and store in a large glass container. Use about 1/2 cup or more of your mixture at a time with a reusable cloth bag to run under the water. Rinse off the body after bathing to reduce mineral residue.
For children, omit or reduce epsom and pink salt by half.
